Did you know that some of your appliances use up to HALF as much power while on stand-by as they do then they’re in use?

If you turn off your TV, clock radios, computers, and broadband connection when they aren’t being used, you can save some extra money and cut down on your contribution to global warming. If we ALL do SOMETHING we will help allot!

A plug-in electric meter helps you find out which appliances in your home are consuming the most energy, and can also help you decide whether they should be turned off.

Interesting. I started making sure appliances that where not in use where not plugged in. I’m waiting to get the electricity bill to see what kind of difference it has made.
I have heard of some power strips that will turn off your electronics when it senses that the things plugged into it are not in use.
